Argi

Adding rather than subtracting. Considering sculpture as a transformation of the material with a minimum of waste. Recombining the forms without distorting them - as one would do for a renovation, respecting the spirit of the place. Creating contrasts, unexpected encounters, revealing twists, sublimating borders, and bringing out a new harmony.

Born from two interlocking shapes, Argi bat, bi, and iru are a set of three sculptural side tables resulting from this process.
A tribute to the ancients, honored by the argizaiola (thin candle wrapped around a wooden support used in religious rites in the Basque Country), the reminiscent shapes of an argizaiola candle echo the pure geometry and the work of Brazilian sculptor Sergio Camargo.
